The Museo Fiorentina, with the head of the History Commission Massimo Cervelli, makes a cycle of five meetings dedicated to the history of Fiorentina in the Florentine municipal libraries, with great success of participation by the public.

4 May 2018 “Commemoration of Grande Torino Superga”

The Museo Fiorentina participates, with the vice-president David Bini, in the commemoration of the Grande Torino at the Basilica of Superga on May 4, 2018, together with the “Brothers” of the Museo Grande Torino.

28 April 2018 “Derby Storico Fiorentino”

The Museo Fiorentina is organizing the ninth edition of the Derby Storico Fiorentino, a period re-enactment of the challenges between the “Whites” of the Club Sportivo Firenze and the “Reds” of the Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina Libertas, the two city teams that united in 1926 to the Associazione Fiorentina del Calcio. The event is held on 28 April 2018 at the Sferisterio of the Cascine in Florence and is dedicated to the MEYER Foundation in Florence, with a charity fundraiser.

26 May 2018 “Curva Fiesole party”

On 26 May 2018 the Museo Fiorentina participates in the Curva Fiesole party, setting up a drawing workshop dedicated to children and curated by the activists of the Viola Museum.

31 May 2018 “60 years from the death of Ridolfi”

On 31 May 2018 the Museo Fiorentina organizes in collaboration with ACF a historical commemoration entitled: “Luigi Ridolfi 60 years after his death” by Massimo Cervelli, head of the History Commission of the Viola Museum.

27 October 2018 “Exhibition Antognoni at the Museo Grande Torino”

On 27 October 2018, will be inaugurated the exhibition “Il Giglio nel Cuore” dedicated to Giancarlo Antognoni, organized by the Museo Grande Torino, with the collaboration of the Museo Fiorentina, at the headquarters of the Museo Granata in Grugliasco, the vice president David Bini participates in the ceremony representing the Museo Fiorentina, together with the protagonist Giancarlo Antognoni.

6 November 2018 “60 years of the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano”

The Federal Technical Center of Coverciano was inaugurated on November 6, 1958, therefore it is sixty years old. To celebrate this anniversary, on Tuesday 6 November 2018, a conference organized by the Fondazione Museo del Calcio in collaboration with the Museo Fiorentina is held in the renovated auditorium of Coverciano, entitled “Luigi Ridolfi and Ottavio Baccani: at the origins of the Federal Technical Center of Santa Maria in Coverciano “. The conference is curated by Massimo Cervelli, head of the History Commission of the Museo Fiorentina, with dr. Fino Fini president of the Fondazione Museo del Calcio and Maurizio Francini director of the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano. An evocative ceremony with the raising of the flag in the internal square of the Technical Center recalls the inauguration of 1958, a bust dedicated to the Marquis Luigi Ridolfi is also discovered who wanted to build this prestigious structure that had its first director in Ottavio Baccani, indissolubly connecting the history of Fiorentina to that of the CTF of Coverciano.

26 November 2018 “Hall of Fame Viola”

On November 26, 2018, the seventh edition of the “Hall of Fame Viola” takes place at the “Cosimo Ridolfi” Auditorium of Banca CR Firenze. Fiorentina is the first Italian football club to have its own Hall of Fame, the prestigious Gallery of Honors that celebrates the personalities who made the Viola History, wanted and created by the Museo Fiorentina.

1 December 2018 “Hall of Fame Granata”

On 1 December 2018, the fifth edition of the “Hall of Fame Granata”, organized by the Museo Grande Torino, takes place at the headquarters of the Museum in Grugliasco, the vice president David Bini attends the ceremony representing the Museo Fiorentina.

22 January 2019 “Pietra d’Inciampo Vittorio Staccione”

On January 22, 2019, is held in Turin the laying ceremony of the “Pietra d’Inciampo” dedicated to Vittorio Staccione, former player of Torino and Fiorentina who was deported by the Nazis and died in the Mauthausen prison camp. The vice president David Bini participates in the ceremony representing the Museo Fiorentina to remember the memory of Vittorio Staccione, already included in the Hall of Fame Viola during the 2012 edition.

28 February 2019 “New executive board of the Museo Fiorentina”

On 28 February 2019 the members assembly elects the new executive board of the Museo Fiorentina, composed as follows: Honorary President: Raffaele Righetti, President: David Bini, Vice-President: Emiliano Caselli, Vice-President: Massimo Cervelli, Treasurer: Massimo Cecchi, Secretary: Sonia Piazzini, Councilor: Simone Cerino, Councilor: Andrea Galluzzo, Councilor: Gianfranco Lottini, Councilor: Massimo Sabatini.

2 March 2019 “DA13 Capitano per Sempre”

On 2 and 3 March 2019 the Museo Fiorentina together with the Municipality of Sesto Fiorentino and the Subbuteo Club North Florence, organizes the “DA13 Capitano forever” event in memory of the Captain Davide Astori. The Viola Museum takes care of the commemoration of Davide Astori and at the Ragionieri library in Sesto Fiorentino , took place a Subbuteo tournament at the Ragionieri Library in Sesto Fiorentino.

13 March 2019 “Exhibition Florence ‘50”

On March 13, 2019, the “Florence 1950s” exhibition organized by the Historical Archive of the Municipality of Florence and the Giorgio La Pira Foundation was inaugurated. The Museo Fiorentina is called upon to collaborate by setting up a special space dedicated to the Fiorentina of the 1950s within the prestigious exhibition path in the Historical Archives.

3 May 2019 “Plaque for the Grande Torino a Superga”

The Museo Fiorentina creates and places a special permanent commemorative plaque in Superga in the place where the great Turin disappeared on May 4, 1949. As part of the celebrations for the seventieth anniversary of the Superga tragedy, on May 3, 2019 the president of the Museo Fiorentina David Bini, together with the “Brothers” of the Museo Grande Torino, inaugurates the plaque for an everlasting memory of the “Invincibles”.

3 maggio 2019 “Commemoration 70° Grande Torino”

On the seventieth anniversary of the Superga tragedy, the Museo Fiorentina participates with the president David Bini in an inauguration ceremony of the Grande Torino square in the municipality of Bruino. Take part to the celebrations the delegations of the River Plate Museum and the Benfica Museum, also twinned with the Museo Grande Torino, who receive as a gift a special embroidered pennant prepared by the Viola Museum.

4 May 2019 “Commemoration Grande Torino Monumental cemetery”

On the seventieth anniversary, the Museo Fiorentina participates, with the president David Bini, on the morning of 4 May 2019 in the official commemoration of the Grande Torino at the Monumental Cemetery of Turin, with sad ceremony alongside the “Brothers” of the Museo Grande Torino.

4 May 2019 “Commemoration Grande Torino Duomo- Superga”

On the seventieth anniversary, a large delegation from the Museo Fiorentina participates, on the afternoon of May 4, 2019 in the commemoration of the Grande Torino with a solemn Mass in the Turin Cathedral, then the ascent to the hill of the Basilica of Superga together with the “Brothers” of the Museo Grande Torino, for the reading by the captain of Turin of all the names of the dead in front of the tombstone.

10 May 2019 “Libro CAMPIONI – Fiorentina 1968-69”

On 10 May 2019, at the Sala Valitutti of the FIGC Museo del Calcio in Coverciano, the Museo Fiorentina presents the book “CAMPIONI – Fiorentina 1968-69”. The result of the work of the members of the History Commission, the volume traces the entire 1968-69 season, in which Fiorentina won the title of Italian Champion. Fifty years after that splendid victory, the publication narrates, with a lot of details and photographic documentation, the story of the wonderful protagonists of the second Fiorentina championship. With the patronage of: CONI, FIGC, Lega Calcio Serie A.

10 May 2019 “Exhibition CAMPIONI – Fiorentina 1968-69”

On 10 May 2019 the Museo Fiorentina presents the exhibition “CAMPIONI – Fiorentina 1968-69”, set up with ACF Fiorentina at the FIGC Museo del Calcio in Coverciano. On the fiftieth anniversary of the Italian flag, the exhibition traces the 1968-69 season in which Fiorentina won their second Scudetto with descriptive panels and historical relics from the Museum.

10 May 2019 “Maglia Celebrativa Fiorentina 1968-69”

On 10 May 2019, as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the second Viola Scudetto, the Museo Fiorentina presents a special celebratory shirt at the FIGC Football Museo del Calcio in Coverciano, which bears the reproduction of the embroidered lily and shield on the front and on the back the list of all Fiorentina’s matches in the 1968-69 season. A unique shirt to make the memory of the second tricolor won by the viola.

11 May 2019 “Celebration of Fiorentina 1968-69”

On 11 May 2019 the Museo Fiorentina with ACF Fiorentina celebrates the 1968-69 Italian Champions at the Franchi stadium in Florence, with an award ceremony for all the protagonists of that wonderful victory who receive a celebratory shirt from the representatives of the Museo Fiorentina with the tricolor shield and a special personalized embroidered pennant.

23 May 2019 “Award Pinocchio d’Oro”

May 23, 2019. The Viola Club Pescia organizes the annual edition of the “Pinocchio d’Oro” award which is awarded to the Museo Fiorentina and to the players Luca Toni, Claudio Merlo and Luciano Chiarugi. The Honorary President Raffaele Righetti with the Vice President Massimo Cervelli collects the prize for the Viola Museum.

27 June 2019 “Memory of Egisto Pandolfini”

On June 27, 2019, in collaboration with the Municipality of Lastra a Signa and the Porto di Mezzo Committee, during the feast of San Pietro, the Museo Fiorentina organizes the “Memory of Egisto Pandolfini” event dedicated to the career of the great Egisto Pandolfini and edited by Massimo Cervelli vice president and head of the History Commission of the Viola Museum

2 July 2019 “Tribute to Mario Mazzoni”

On 2 July 2019, the Museo Fiorentina organizes the event “Homage to Mario Mazzoni” dedicated to the career of the great Mario Mazzoni and curated by Massimo Cervelli vice president and head of the History Commission of the Viola Museum, at the library “BiblioteCaNova” of the Isolotto, in collaboration with the District 4 of the Municipality of Florence.

7 September 2019 “Curva Fiesole Party”

13 September 2019 “Tribute to Pietro Biagioli”

On 13 September 2019, at the premises of the Hydron in Campi Bisenzio, in collaboration with the Municipality of Campi Bisenzio and Bisenzio Sette, the Museo Fiorentina organizes the event “Pietrino Biagioli a bomber from Campania in purple shirt” dedicated to the career of the great Pietro Biagioli, accompanied by a dedicated publication and edited by Massimo Cervelli vice president and head of the History Commission of the Viola Museum.

22 September 2019 “90 years of Viola shirt”

To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Viola jersey, worn for the first time on 22 September 1929, the Museo Fiorentina and the newspaper La Nazione propose two initiatives. The first is an online poll to allow all fans to vote for the most beautiful Viola shirt by choosing it from the images of 23 different historical kits. The second event is held on 24 October 2019 at the “Attilio Monti” Auditorium of La Nazione in Florence, it is a temporary exhibition of all the Viola shirts participating in the survey by the Museo Fiorentina and a conference with the participation of: Agnese Pini Director of La Nazione, Andrea Davide Papini journalist curator of the poll, Paolo Chirichigno responsible for Sport La Nazione, David Bini president of the Museo Fiorentina, Moreno Roggi president of the Glorie Viola, many former viola players including : Giovanni Galli, Roberto Galbiati, Alberto Orzan, Sergio Carpanesi and a large audience in the hall.

15 October 2019 “ISMA – International Sports Museums Association”

On 15 October 2019 the Museo Fiorentina becomes part of ISMA – International Sports Museums Association, a prestigious association based in Lisbon at the Benfica Museum. ISMA was born in 2019 with the aim of joining and sharing the work of the most important Sports Museums around the world to promote, enhance and disseminate the history of sport and sporting values through international paths and projects. The Museo Fiorentina is proud to be able to collaborate with the most important international Sports Museums to exchange and increase their respective experiences, for a better dissemination of the history of sport.

28 October 2019 “Twinning Museo A. Franchi Lega Pro”

On 28 October 2019, at the Lega Pro headquarters in Florence, a twinning ceremony took place between the nascent Artemio Franchi Museum and the Museo Fiorentina. A symbolic exchange of gifts, between the president of the Lega Pro Antonio Ghirelli and the representatives of the Museo Fiorentina Raffaele Righetti, David Bini and Massimo Cervelli, begin the new collaboration between the two museums in the name of Artemio Franchi, great manager of Italian football and prominent protagonist of the Viola story.

16 November 2019 “Naming of the Stadio “Davide Astori” in Rignano

On November 16, 2019, the Museo Fiorentina participates in the ceremony promoted by the Municipality of Rignano sull’Arno, for the naming of the municipal stadium to Davide Astori and the adjacent street to Stefano Borgonovo. The delegation of the Museo Fiorentina is led by the vice president Emiliano Caselli and by the councilor Simone Cerino.
