27 July 2009 “Deed of foundation of the Museo Associazione Calcio Fiorentina”
The project of the Museo Fiorentina born thanks to the union of historians, collectors, researchers, on the evening of 27 July 2009, under the loving guidance of Dr. Fino Fini, the founding deed of the Museo Associazione Calcio Fiorentina is signed in Coverciano.The founders, in alphabetical order, are: Luca Binazzi, David Bini, Gianluca Cecchini, Tommaso Conforti, Andrea Claudio Galluzzo, Luca Giannelli, Gianfranco Lottini, Roberto Vinciguerra. The new Board of Directors elects Andrea Claudio Galluzzo as President, while Raffaele Righetti is proclaimed Honorary President.
5 August 2009 “Logo of the Museo Associazione Calcio Fiorentina”
On August 5, 2009, the official logo of the Museo Associazione Calcio Fiorentina was born, from a joint work based on the original sketch designed by David Bini and modified together with Andrea Claudio Galluzzo, and then graphically created by Tommaso Conforti. The logo has at the top the red lily used by Fiorentina in 1933 which joins in the lower vertex with a letter M in purple color, representing the word Museum, which encloses at the bottom a vintage ball with the acronym ACF, Associazione Calcio Fiorentina.
24 March 2010 “Symposium of the European Football and Sports Museums”
The Museo Fiorentina, with the President Andrea Claudio Galluzzo and the Vice President David Bini, takes part to the the Symposium of the European Football and Sport Museums organized on 24 March 2010 at the FIGC Federal Technical Center in Coverciano, by the FIGC Technical Sector and the Football Museum.
4 May 2010 “Siena Artemio Franchi Award”
The Museo Fiorentina, with the President Andrea Claudio Galluzzo and the Vice President David Bini, takes part to the “Siena Artemio Franchi Award”, organized by the Franchi Foundation in Siena on May 4, 2010. Among the winners, the purple flag Giancarlo Antognoni and the great champion Johan Cruyff.
15 May 2010: “100 years of Azzurro FIGC”
On May 15, 2010, the Italian Football Federation celebrates 100 years since the first match played by the Italian national team which on May 15, 1910 made its debut in Milan beating France 6-2. The FIGC organized an exhibition: “100 years of Azzurro” at the Arena Civica in Milan, to celebrate the historic anniversary, the Museo Fiorentina is present with the vice president David Bini who presents to the FIGC President Giancarlo Abete a special commemorative reminder of the centenary in the name of Viola Museum.
28 May 2010 “Book Derby Storico Fiorentino”
On May 28, 2010, the Museo Fiorentina presents the book “Derby Storico Fiorentino”, the result of the work of the members of the History Commission, a volume that crosses the historical path of the leading teams in English football at the beginning of the 20th century in Florence, up to origins of the birth of the Fiorentina Football Association, wanted by the Marquis Luigi Ridolfi to join the forces of the two best city teams and create a single great team destined to represent Florence in the emerging Italian football scene. During the press conference, the special historical uniforms made by the Museo Fiorentina are also presented, which will be used for the historical re-enactment of the match between the “Whites” of the Club Sportivo Firenze and the “Reds” of the Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina Libertas.
29 May 2010 “Derby Storico Fiorentino”
The Museo Fiorentina is organizing the first edition of the Derby Storico Fiorentino, a commemoration of the challenges between the “Whites” of the Club Sportivo Firenze and the “Reds” of the Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina Libertas, the two city teams that united in 1926 gave rise to the Associazione Fiorentina del Calcio. The event is held on May 29, 2010 at the Prato del Quercione, Parco delle Cascine in Florence and is dedicated to the MEYER Foundation in Florence, with a charity fundraiser.
2 August 2010 “Viola emotions in Mugello”
The Museo Fiorentina organizes, with ACF Fiorentina, an exhibition in Scarperia in Mugello area, home of the second part of the Viola summer retreat, the exhibition itinerary, inaugurated on 2 August 2010, is a time trip through the images of the summer retreats of the Viola teams.
23 October 2010 “Award ceremony Giancarlo Antognoni”
The Museo Fiorentina is organizing a special award ceremony for Giancarlo Antognoni, which took place on 23 October 2010, before the match Fiorentina-Bari, on the ground of the Artemio Franchi Stadium in front of the entire viola audience. The captain gave a parchment, which celebrates his career, and a special reproduction of the historic Viola shirt number 10, as a symbol of eternal gratitude for his unparalleled history with Fiorentina.
26 November 2010 “Florence cradle of Football”
The Museo Fiorentina organizes an exhibition called “Florence Cradle of Football” which traces the historical evolution of the game in Florence, from the origins of Calcio Fiorentino to Fiorentina. The exhibition, inaugurated on November 26, 2010, hosted at Palazzo Rosselli del Turco in Florence and meets considerable public interest with important influxes of visitors and tourists from all over the world.
4 March 2011 “Antognoni’s Day”
The Museo Fiorentina participates to the organization of the event: “Antognoni’s Day” on March 4 at the Mandela Forum in Florence. The evening recorded a sensational audience, who came to celebrate the champion most loved by all. Giancarlo retraces his entire career together with the fans. The Museo Fiorentina gives to Antognoni a special prize, a tricolor shield with a lily, which symbolically returns, to the Fiorentina captain in 1981-82, the title of Italian Champion unjustly snatched at the last match.
4 March 2011 “Announcement Hall of Fame Viola”
The Museo Fiorentina during the event: “Antognoni’s Day” on March 4th at the Mandela Forum (Florence) officially announces the creation of the “ Hall of Fame Viola”, contrived and created by the Museum in collaboration with ACF Fiorentina. It is also announced that Giancarlo Antognoni will be the first to join the prestigious Viola Hall of Fame and Giancarlo himself will be called to preside over the jury of the board of Marzocco who will choose the characters to be included in the future in the Gallery of the honours Viola.
3 May 2011 “Presentation of the book Stefano Borgonovo”
The Museo Fiorentina participates, with Stefano Borgonovo Onlus Foundation, to the presentation of the book: “Attaccante Nato” written by the unforgettable Viola player. The event takes place in Florence on May 3, 2011 in the prestigious setting of the Salone de’ Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio.
4 May 2011 “Commemoration Grande Torino Superga”
The Museo Fiorentina participates, with a delegation made up of Massimo Cecchi and Andrea Claudio Galluzzo to the commemoration of the Grande Torino at the Basilica of Superga on May 4, 2011, together with the “Brothers” of the Museo Grande Torino, with whom it is then paid tribute to the historic Filadelfia stadium.
10 May 2011 “Logo 50° Cup Winners’ Cup 1961-2011”
On May 10, 2011, the Museo Fiorentina presents a special logo that will accompany all the official celebrations for the fifty years of the 1961’s Cup Winners’ Cup. The logo, is the result of the graphic work of the Museum’s Project board, led by architect Alessandro Luzzi, recalls the stylization of the original trophy combined with the lily embroidered on the Fiorentina shirts of that season.
12 May 2011 “Book I Leoni di Ibrox”
On 12 May 2011, during the celebrations organized for the fiftieth anniversary of the victory in the 1961’s Cup Winners’ Cup, the Museo Fiorentina presents the book “I Leoni di Ibrox”, fruit of the work of the members of the History board. The volume celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of Fiorentina’s extraordinary European career in the 1960-61 season which saw the Viola win the first edition of the Cup Winners’ Cup becoming the first Italian team to win a continental trophy. With the patronage of UEFA and FIGC.
13 May 2011 “Cup Winners’ Cup”
On 13 May 2011, after months and many requests to UEFA made by the vice president of the Museum, David Bini and by Maurizio Francini of ACF Fiorentina, the Museo Fiorentina finally managed to convince UEFA to return a copy of the Cup Winners’ Cup won in 1961, which the Viola club had never had. Thanks to the work of the Viola Museum, the precious and historic trophy finally arrives in the Fiorentina Trophy Room.
15 May 2011 “50° Cup Winners’ Cup 1961-2011”
The Museo Fiorentina organized a special celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the 1961’s Cup Winners’ Cup with ACF Fiorentina. On May 15, 2011 all the members of Fiorentina 1960-61 wearing a special historic shirt offered by the Museum are invited to the stadium and are awarded at the Authority Tribune by the representatives of UEFA, Fiorentina and of the Museum, at the end of the award ceremony captain Alberto Orzan showed the Cup Winners’ Cup to the public and raised to the heaven, receiving applause from all over the stadium.
18 May 2011 “Celebration of the 50° Cup Winners’ Cup with Mazda”
The Museo Fiorentina collaborates with Mazda, the main sponsor, in a celebratory event for the 50th anniversary of the Cup Winners’ Cup, held on May 18 at Villa Viviani, with an exhibition of the Continental Trophy and a special celebratory exhibition.

The Museo Fiorentina, with the president Andrea Claudio Galluzzo and the vice president David Bini, takes part to the Museum Football Seminar organized on 7thand 8thJune 2011 at the FIGC Federal Technical Center in Coverciano, by the Italian Football Federation. An in-depth seminar and study on the comparison of experiences and methodologies of the best European and international Sports Museums with prestigious speakers and a final diploma signed by the FIGC president Giancarlo Abete.
8 June 2011 “Federation Football Museums”
On June 8, 2011 at the FIGC Federal Technical Center in Coverciano, the “Federation of Football Museums” was born, as an instrument of association and connection between the affiliated museums, wanted by the FIGC to promote the enhancement of sporting culture and the values of football through sharing and collaboration between member museums. They sign the Memorandum of Understanding as founders:the Museo del Calcio, the Museo Grande Torino, the Museo Fiorentina, the Museo Storia Genoa, the Museo Calcio Padova.
25 June 2011 “Florence Football Cup”
The Museo Fiorentina is organizing the first edition of the Florence Football Cup, an English football tournament, organized for charity and dedicated to raising funds for the Stefano Borgonovo Onlus Foundation. The tournament takes place on 25 June 2011 at the Historical Florentine Football Arena in Piazza S. Croce in Florence.
26 August 2011 “Florence Azzurra City FIGC”
From 26 August to 11 September 2011, the Museo Fiorentina is present, with the vice president David Bini, at the inauguration of the FIGC “Itinerant football Museum”, at the Sala d’Arme of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, with an exhibition of the history of Fiorentina and of the most important Viola players in the National team.
8 September 2011 “Calcio Expo 2011”
The Museo Fiorentina takes part to the Calcio Expo 2011 event from 8 to 11 September 2011 at Firenze Fiera at the Fortezza da Basso, with a special stand, in collaboration with ACF Fiorentina, with an exhibition of important trophies relating to the history of Fiorentina and to the most important Viola players in the national team.
7 December 2011 “Almanacco Fiorentina 2012”
On 7 December 2011 the Museo Fiorentina presents the book “Almanacco Fiorentina 2012”, thanks to the work of the members of the History board, the volume collects the sporting events of the Viola team during the 2010-11 season and presents the current season. An accurate and complete work in every detail, with a rich statistical and photographic documentation, the official Yearbook of the Viola club.
12 December 2011 “Hall of Fame Viola”
The Museo Fiorentina announces the winners of the first edition of the “Hall of Fame Viola”, the award ceremony will be held on December 16, 2011 during the ACF Fiorentina party. The Museum proudly points out that Fiorentina becomes the first Italian football club to have its own Hall of Fame, established and created by the Museo Fiorentina.
14 December 2011 “City mourning”
On 14 December 2011 the Mayor of Florence proclaims the city mourning due to a massacre that took place in Piazza Dalmazia in Florence, all the demonstrations and events scheduled in Florence are canceled and the Museo Fiorentina announces that, due to the city mourning, the first edition of the “Hall of Fame Viola” is postponed to the following
5 May 2012 “Workshop SISS a Firenze”
On May 5, 2012, the Museo Fiorentina organizes in Florence, at the Palazzo Rosselli del Turco, the Workshop “Sport and Identity” together with SISS, the Italian Society of the History of Sport. The meeting includes the speeches of numerous national and international sportsmen and the most qualified historians of the sector.
19 May 2012 “Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina Libertas”
On 19 May 2012, the Museo Fiorentina takes part to the inauguration ceremony of the Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina LIbertas, after the renovations that have brought out numerous frescoes. The Museum presents an editorial essay to accompany and celebrate the event starring one of the two historic city societies that, by joining together, gave birth to Fiorentina in 1926.

21 June 2012 “Mostra Origins of Football”
The Museo Fiorentina, inaugurates at the Sala delle Carrozze in Palazzo Medici Riccardi, a double prestigious exhibition on 21 June 2012, consisting of the exhibition “Origins of Football” which illustrates the history of football and “Olympic Football” exhibition dedicated to the history of football in the various editions of the Olympics with an exhibition of memorabilia relating to the Italian Olympic National Team. The exhibitions have the patronage of FIFA, UEFA, FIGC, CONI and Hellenic Ministry of Culture, and meet an important success with the public especially among tourists.
11 July 2012 “Presentation of the new Fiorentina Uniform”
Early 2012 ACF Fiorentina asked the Museo Fiorentina to collaborate with the managers of the new kit sponsor Joma for the creation of a third uniform for the following season. Vice President David Bini has prepared a project that meets the enthusiastic opinion of the company and the technical sponsor to create a new third kit inspired by the historic first white-red shirt used by Fiorentina in 1926. On 11 July 2012 in the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio are presented the new Fiorentina uniforms for the 2012-13 season and the Museo Fiorentina is called to illustrate the third one which refers to 1926 and meets a great success with the public.
22 July 2012 “Exhibition of the Viola successes in Moena”
On 22 July 2012 the Museo Fiorentina inaugurates the exhibition “The successes that made Fiorentina great” at the headquarters of the Viola summer retreat in Moena, with a historical exhibition installation dedicated to Fiorentina’s victories.
6 October 2012 “Hall of Fame Viola”
On 6 October 2012, at the “Cosimo Ridolfi” Auditorium of Banca CR Firenze, took place the first edition of the “Hall of Fame Viola”, postponed due to city mourning in 2011. Fiorentina is the first Italian football club to have its own Hall of Fame, the prestigious Gallery of Honors that celebrates the personalities who made the Viola History, established and created by the Museo Fiorentina.

18 December 2012 “Bambini Viola”
On 18 December 2012 the Museo Fiorentina presents the book “Bambini Viola” a work created by the members of the Educational Board of the History Commission, suitable for kids representing the story of Fiorentina with a comic strip that links Florence and its history to the Viola. The book meant to educate young people to know and love the sporting traditions of Fiorentina and to become proud supporters.
18 January 2013 “Bambini Viola at MEYER”
On January 18, 2013 the Museo Fiorentina inaugurates the “Bambini Viola” exhibition at the MEYER Pediatric Hospital in Florence, the itinerary of the museum is dedicated to children and made with the splendid comic illustrations by Francesco Petracchi and traces the entire history of Fiorentina, celebrating their victories. The success with the public is extraordinary with over 15,000 visitors in one month of exhibition.
2 March 2013 “Exhibition of Viola Victories at MEYER per Amico”
On 2 March 2013, the Museo Fiorentina is present at the charity event “Il MEYER per Amico” with the “Viola Victories” exhibition. The museum itinerary, which illustrates and celebrates all victories of Fiorentina, is set up inside the MEYER Pediatric Hospital in Florence.

On June 28, 2013 the Museo Fiorentina organizes an exhibition event with the “Bambini Viola” exhibition at the “Pitti Bimbo” event at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. The Museo Fiorentina in the Sala delle Carrozze in Palazzo Medici Ricciardi, inaugurates a double prestigious exhibition on 12 December 2013, consisting of the “Bomber Viola” exhibition which narrates and illustrates the history of the best Viola goalscorers with texts, images and historical memorabilia and of an exhibition “Bambini Viola” dedicated to the history of Fiorentina through special comics dedicated to children and made by the fantastic illustrator Francesco Petracchi. For the Museo Viola Junior there is also a special workshop for children, created by the Play Area Manager Barbara Conti. The exhibitions have the patronage of UEFA, FIGC, CONI, are bilingual, have the partnerships of Save The Children, Istituto degli Innocenti and the Meyer Foundation and meet an extraordinary success with the public.
