5 February 2014 “Almanacco Fiorentina 2014”

On February 5, 2014 the Museo Fiorentina presents the book “Almanacco Fiorentina 2014” fruit of the work of the members of the History Commission, the volume traces the sporting events of the Viola team during the 2012-13 season and presents the current season. An accurate and complete work in every detail, with statistical and photographic documentation, the official Yearbook of the Viola club.

22 February 2014 “Mostra Bambini Viola al MEYER per Amico”

On 22 2014, the Fiorentina Museum is present at the charity event “Il MEYER per Amico” with the exhibition “Bambini Viola – How to educate your child to the correct football faith”. The museum itinerary, which tells and celebrates the history of Fiorentina with comic illustrations created by Francesco Petracchi, is set up inside the MEYER Pediatric Hospital in Florence.

23 March 2014 “300 Matches Manuel Pasqual”

On 23 March 2014, captain Manuel Pasqual reached 300 appearances with the Viola jersey on the occasion of the Napoli-Fiorentina match. On March 26 2014 the Museo Fiorentina, to celebrate this milestone, gave to Manuel Pasqual a special parchment that certifies the 300 appearances and the player donates to the Museum his autographed captain’s armband used during the 300th match.

1 April 2014 “60° Birthday of Giancarlo Antognoni”

On 1 April 2014, the Fiorentina Museum takes part to the organization, with the Municipality of Florence, of the event to celebrate Giancarlo Antognoni’s sixtieth birthday. In the splendid setting of the Salone de’ Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio, the eternal Captain Viola receives the keys to the city of Florence from the mayor and a special parchment from the representatives of the Museo Fiorentina. A special film about Giancarlo Antognoni’s career made by the Viola Museum is then shown in the crowded hall.

13 April 2014 “1.000 Victories of Fiorentina”

On 13 April 2014, during the match Verona-Fiorentina 3-5, the Viola team reached the 1.000th victory in its history. The Museo Fiorentina delivers on April 24, 2014, to celebrate the prestigious milestone, a special parchment for the 1,000 victories achieved to the President of ACF Fiorentina Andrea Della Valle.

14 May 2014 “Florence Football Cup”

The Museo Fiorentina is organizing the fourth edition of the Florence Football Cup, an English football tournament, organized for charity and dedicated to raising funds for the Stefano Borgonovo Onlus Foundation and the Voa Voa Onlus Association. The tournament takes place on May 14, 2014 at the Torrigiani Garden in Florence.

16 June 2014 “Derby Storico Fiorentino”

The Museo Fiorentina is organizing the fifth edition of the Derby Storico Fiorentino, a period re-enactment of the challenges between the “Bianchi” of the Club Sportivo Firenze and the “Rossi” of Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina Libertas, the two city teams that united in 1926 gave rise to the Associazione Fiorentina del Calcio. The event is held on June 16, 2014 at the Stadio del Bisenzio in Signa and is dedicated to the MEYER Foundation in Florence and the Pollicino Onlus Association, with a charity fundraiser.

4 October 2014 “Presentation of the new logo Museo Fiorentina”

On 4 October 2014, during the press conference for the presentation of the third edition of the Viola Hall of Fame, the Museo Fiorentina announces the birth of a new official logo that was wanted and chosen directly by the President Andrea della Valle to underline the close collaboration between ACF and Museum and have a “Corporate” image. In the restyling of the new logo, curated by the architect Alessandro Luzzi, the current lily of ACF Fiorentina replaces the lily of 1933 originally present above the letter M and the balloon inside the letter M is then removed because the acronym ACF it is already present in the current lily. The official name also changes, passing from the original: “Museo Associazione Calcio Fiorentina” to a more immediate one: “Museo Fiorentina”. The new logo will be jointly presented to ACF Fiorentina on 6 October 2014 during the third edition of the Viola Hall of Fame.

6 October 2014 “Hall of Fame Viola”

On 6 October 2014, the third edition of the “Hall of Fame Viola” takes place at the “Cosimo Ridolfi” Auditorium of Banca CR Firenze. Fiorentina is the first Italian football club to have its own Hall of Fame, the prestigious Gallery of Honors that celebrates the personalities who made the Viola History, wanted and created by the Museo Fiorentina. During the ceremony, the new “Corporate” logo of the Museo Fiorentina, wanted by the President Andrea Della Valle to confirm the close collaboration between the Museum and ACF Fiorentina, is officially presented to the public.

7 November 2014 “Day of the Viola memories”

The Museo Fiorentina in collaboration with ACF Fiorentina, establishes the “il Giorno della memoria Viola” a special day to remember all the people who have left us and who in life loved and represented the Viola colors. On 7 November 2014 the Viola Chaplain, Don Massimiliano Gabbricci, celebrates a Holy Mass at the Church of San Gervasio e Protasio in Florence to remember all the Viola Hearts who have left us.

19 November 2014 “80th Birthday of Kurt Hamrin”

On November 19, 2014, the great Kurt Hamrin turns 80. The Museo Fiorentina, to celebrate this anniversary, organizes a celebration together with ACF Fiorentina which held on December 5, 2014 at the Artemio Franchi stadium in the foyer of the Authority Tribune, with small exhibition dedicated to the Swedish champion, who is then awarded by a delegation of the Fiorentina Museo and the president of the viola company Andrea Della Valle.

3 December 2014 “Hall of Fame Granata”

On December 3, 2014, the first edition of the “Hall of Fame Granata”, organized by the Museo Grande Torino, takes place at the headquarters of the Museum in Grugliasco, the vice president David Bini participates in the ceremony representing the Museo Fiorentina.

The Museo Fiorentina is organizing the fifth edition of the Florence Football Cup, an English football tournament, organized for charity and dedicated to raising funds for the Voa Voa Onlus Association. The tournament takes place on 2 June 2015 at the Torrigiani Garden in Florence.

20 June 2015 “Derby Storico Fiorentino”

The Museo Fiorentina organized the sixth edition of the Derby Storico Fiorentino, commemoration of the challenges between the “Whites” of the Club Sportivo Firenze and the “Reds” of the Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina Libertas, the two city teams that united in 1926 gave rise to the Associazione Fiorentina del Calcio. The event is held on 20 June 2015 at the Arena of the Florentine Historical Football, Piazza Santa Croce, Florence and is dedicated to the MEYER Foundation in Florence, with a charity fundraiser.

28 June 2015 “40° Coppa Italia 1975”

The Museo Fiorentina organizes a special celebration for the fortieth anniversary of the 1975 Italian Cup victory, on 14 July 2015 at the Palagio di Parte Guelfa in Florence, during the event all the protagonists of the 1975 Italian Cup are awarded and it is distributed a special publication: “La Coppa del Giubileo 1975-2015 ” edited by the History Commission of the Museo Fiorentina led by Massimo Cecchi.

15 September 2015 “Gift Gonfaloni to the Club Sportivo e PGF Libertas”

On 15 September 2015 in the Sala Incontri of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, the Museo Fiorentina donated two Historical Banners to the Presidents of the Club Sportivo Firenze and of the Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina Libertas, the two historic city teams that gave life in 1926 to the Fiorentina, with the merger of their football sections.

3 December 2015 “Hall of Fame Granata”

17 February 2016 “90° Birthday Egisto Paldolfini”

On 17 February 2016, during of the ninetieth birthday of the great Egisto Pandolfini, the Museo Fiorentina prepared a special commemorative plaque then donated to the viola champion to thank him and celebrate his splendid 90 years.

7 March 2016 “Premio Pegaso per lo Sport”

On 7 March 2016, during the awarding of the “Premio Pegaso per lo Sport” of the Tuscany Region, a Special Prize was awarded to the Fiorentina 1955-56 Italian Champion on the fiftieth anniversary of the victory. The Region also confers a Special Prize to the Museo Fiorentina for the historical activity carried out in recent years. It is the honorary president Raffaele Righetti who receives the award for the Museo Fiorentina during the ceremony.

13 March 2016 “Libro Fiorentina 1926-27 Le Origini”

On 13 March 2016 the Museo Fiorentina presents the book “Fiorentina 1926-27 Le origini”, thanks to the work of the members of the History Commission, the volume tells about the history of the 1926-27 season, the first of the Viol team, with unknown details. An accurate historical work, the result of years of research, with rich statistical documentation and unknown photographs, a truly unique and complete work on the sporting Florence of the 1920s and on the birth of the Associazione Fiorentina del Calcio.

9 April 2016  “Streets in the name of Borgonovo and Segato”

On 9 April 2016, the Museo Fiorentina participates, with the Municipality of Florence, in the naming ceremony of two streets in Florence to the two Viola champions Stefano Borgonovo and Armando Segato, both died prematurely due to SLA.

7 May 2016 “Exhibition Fiorentina 1926-1956 The origins, the triumphs”

On 7 May 2016 the Museo Fiorentina, in the Sala delle Carrozze in Palazzo Medici Riccardi, inaugurates the exhibition “Fiorentina 1926-1956 The Origins, The Triumphs”. The exhibition is divided into three parts, the first tells about the birth of the Associazione Fiorentina del Calcio and its first season in 1926-27 with texts, exclusive images and memorabilia. The second part of the exhibition is dedicated, on the sixtieth anniversary, to the unforgettable viola champions who triumphed everywhere, bringing the title of Italian Champion to Florence for the first time in 1955-56. The third route celebrates, on the fiftieth anniversary, the victories of the Italian Cup and the Mitropa Cup in 1966. The exhibitions have the patronage of UEFA, CONI, FIGC and are held bilingual, and met with extraordinary success with the public.

28 May 2016 “Round table SLA and Football”

On 28 May 2016, the Museo Fiorentina organizes a round table entitled “What relationship between SLA and Football?” Together with the Tuscany Region, at the Sala Pegaso in Piazza Duomo. Speakers Stefania Saccardi Councilor for Health, Massimiliano Castellani journalist and writer, Chantal Borgonovo, wife of the player, Dr. Nicola Vanacore researcher of the Higher Institute of Health, Cristiana Segato daughter of the football player Armando Segato and Andrea Claudio Galluzzo president of the Museo Fiorentina.

28 May 2016 “Curva Fiesole Party”

On May 28, 2016, the Museo Fiorentina participates in the Curva Fiesole party at Villa Montalvo, setting up a drawing workshop dedicated to children and curated by the activists of the Viola Museum. During the day the Italian Champions of 1955-56 are celebrated on the sixtieth anniversary of the historic victory of the Scudetto. Accompanied by the vice president of the Museum David Bini take part to the party also Captain Alberto Orzan, Edoardo Magnini nephew of Ardico Magnini and Cristiana Segato, daughter of Armando Segato, and those are then awarded by the representatives of the Curva Fiesole.

9 July 2016 “Florence Football Cup”

The Museo Fiorentina is organizing the sixth edition of the Florence Football Cup, an English football tournament, created for charity and dedicated to raising funds for Save The Children. The tournament takes place on 9 July 2016 at the Torrigiani Garden in Florence.

29 August 2016 “90th birthday of Fiorentina”

In the year of Fiorentina’s 90th birthday, the ACF Fiorentina and the Museum prepared a series of initiatives to celebrate the anniversary starting from the beginning of the 2016-17 season. The stadium was set up with special exhibition panels by the Museo Fiorentina which, positioned in each sector of the stadium, illustrate the 90 years of life of the Viola team. The evening of celebration was held at the Franchi stadium on August 28, 2016 after the championship match against Chievo with all the main protagonists of the Viola history present on the ground for the celebrations. During the season, all the protagonists of the Viola History were invited and celebrated at the Franchi stadium, divided by decades, they received the applause of the fans and the thanks of the club accompanied by volunteers from the Museo Fiorentina.

13 September 2016 “Collaboration with CNR”

Researchers from the National Institute of Optics of the National Research Council (INO-CNR) of Florence, in collaboration with the Museo Fiorentina, have carried out a study to measure the Viola color of the Fiorentina shirts at the Museum. The study was presented at the International Conference of the Color Group in Turin by Professor Alessandro Farini, head of the INO-CNR Optics Laboratory, who oversaw the research together with David Bini, vice-president of the Viola Museum as well as expert and CTU expert at the Court with specialization in football memorabilia of Fiorentina and the Italian national team. The Museo Fiorentina thanks INO-CNR for the prestigious collaboration that featured the purple color and the sweaters that tell our story.

1 October 2016 “Targa in Via Bellini”

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the viola team, the Museo Fiorentina, together with the Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina Libertas, creates and places a special commemorative plaque to commemorate the place where the historic Via Bellini facility stood, the first headquarters of PGF Libertas and then the first playground for the newborn Fiorentina in 1926. In the presence of the municipal authorities the representatives of the Museo Fiorentina and PGF Libertas inaugurate the plaque on October 1st 2016, making visible to all the place where the Viola History began!

15 October 2016 “Piazzale Campioni del ‘56

On 15 October 2016, the Museo Fiorentina participates, with the Municipality of Florence, in the naming ceremony of the Piazzale that separates the Franchi stadium from the sports center for the 1955-56 Fiorentina Champions of Italy. On the sixtieth anniversary of the victory of the first Viola Scudetto, the “Piazzale Campioni del ’56” was born to eternally remember the achievement of a wonderful team, which has remained in the hearts of the Florentines.

18 October 2016 “Scusa Ameri… Storia di un sogno strappato”

On 18 October 2016 the Museo Fiorentina , in collaboration with Radio Toscana, offers a series of live radio broadcasts at the Teatro di Scandicci with a show to retrace and narrate the history of the 1981-82 championship, and of the “Third Scudetto” viola lost at the last day. The very talented conductors: Stefano Cecchi, Giacomo Guerrini and Fabio Incatasciato with the collaboration of the representatives of the Museo Fiorentina, made seven shows that will lead to the final evening of May 19, 2017. With anecdotes, videos, video contributions, interviews, memorabilia and many memories, the large audience relives, 35 years later, the tricolor dream unjustly snatched from an entire city.

The event is held at dawn on 24 December 2016 at Piazza della Signoria, Florence and is dedicated to the MEYER Foundation in Florence, with a charity fundraiser.

4 May 2017 “Commemoration of Grande Torino Superga”

The Museo Fiorentina participates, with the vice-president David Bini, in the commemoration of the Grande Torino at the Basilica of Superga on May 4, 2017, together with the “Brothers” of the Museo Grande Torino.

15 May 2017 “Award Il Bello del Calcio-Antognoni”

On May 15, 2017, the Museo Fiorentina is present in Milan at the Gazzetta dello Sport award ceremony “Il Bello del Calcio” with an exhibition of Fiorentina and National team memorabilia relating to the career of captain Giancarlo Antognoni, set up thanks to the request of the Milanese newspaper. The special prize, dedicated to the memory of Giacinto Facchetti, is assigned to Giancarlo Antognoni who is celebrated by the director of the Gazzetta Andrea Monti and celebrated by the Facchetti family, by numerous personalities present in the room such as the Presidents of CONI and the FIGC and numerous former Italian players. The president of RCS Urbano Cairo presents the prize to Giancarlo Antognoni

17 May 2017 “Exhibition Bambini Viola alle Cascine”

On May 17, 2017, the Museo Fiorentina is present at the “Q1-Centriamo lo sport” event with the exhibition and publication: “Viola Children – How to educate your child to the correct football faith”. The museum itinerary, which tells and celebrates the history of Fiorentina with comic illustrations created by Francesco Petracchi, is set up within the Pavoniere Pool at the Cascine Park in Florence.

25 May 2017 “Inauguration of the Filadelfia Stadium in Torino”

The Museo Fiorentina takes part, with the vice president David Bini, to the inauguration ceremony of the Filadelfia stadium, the historic home of the Grande Torino, finally returned to the Grenade people after the interminable renovations. The Stadium is once again open to the public thanks to the incessant work carried out by the “Brothers” of the Museo Grande Torino, who, with President Domenico Beccaria, work hard to return this historic place to the city and to the fans.

3 June 2017 “Florence Football Cup”

The Museo Fiorentina is organizing the seventh edition of the Florence Football Cup, an English football tournament, created for charity and dedicated to raising funds for Save The Children. The tournament takes place on June 3, 2017 at the Torrigiani Garden in Florence.

23 August 2017 “Real Madrid”

The Museo Fiorentina is present on 23 August 2017 in Madrid, on the occasion of the 2017 edition of the prestigious Santiago Bernabeu Trophy, to celebrate with the Real Madrid Museum the sixtieth anniversary of the 1957 European Cup final. The delegation of the Museo Fiorentina is composed by the Honorary President Raffaele Righetti, the President Andrea Claudio Galluzzo, the Vice President David Bini and the head of the International College of the Museum Gianfranco Lottini. In the hours before the match, the delegation of the Viola Museum is warmly received by the president of the Madrid club Florentino Pérez, by the institutional relations director Emilio Butragueno, and by the heads of the Real Madrid Museum for an exchange of celebratory gifts. The Museo Fiorentina donates a painting with the handshake before the 1957 Champions Cup final between the two captains Sergio Cervato and Miguel Munoz, as well as a historical reproduction of the Fiorentina shirt used in the final, to enrich the dedicated showcase of the Real Madrid Museum. Special parchments are donated by the Viola Museum to all the directors of the Madrid club who attended the ceremony.
